That's due to the original intention being these "upgraded" accessories are unlocked after earning a specific amount of XP while using the original accessory. After around The Harbinger Awakens update (Early Access 9.0), the idea was dropped as many players weren't a big fan of that system and the enhanced accessories now instead unlocks the same way as their originals. Most non-exclusive accessories that are Epic or Mythical are the "original" accessories.
