Even the dead have rules and laws that govern them.
The Apprentice died. Now he's the Guardian of the Dead. Pay your respects by spending 4,800 gems from the Seamstress or in the cosmetic interface on this Legendary costume.
Aside from being purchasable, the Guardian of the Dead is also obtainable through Defender Packs. And as an Elemental Variant costume, it can either be considered as part of a themed set or a stand-alone costume by itself.

Notes & Trivia
- Having all of the costume's accessories being a retextured version of those from the Standard Garb, the Guardian of the Dead has the second most accessories of Apprentice costumes, after the Standard Garb.
- This costumes has only a single legs piece. The most likely reason would be due to the feet being nearly invisible with its ghostly texture (seemingly making the costume looking like it's floating) it is unnecessary to have multiple accessories as the differences would only be barely visible.
- Intriguingly, the icons of the accessories differs heavily from the actual costume - as the costume's texture are more on the translucent ghostly green, the icons instead depicts a recolor of the accessories in a mix of solid greens, the slight orange and....purples.
- While this costume is considered to be an elemental variant, death isn't really an element. However, it is possible to also refer the costume's element to poison since there are some resemblances between them.
- With the cost of 4,800 gems, the Guardian of the Dead is the highest priced costume among all Apprentice costumes. Furthermore, with the other Elemental Guardian variant costumes for the combined price of 19,200 gems, which if bought at full price, it would cost around $154.94 USD, making the Elemental Guardian pseudo-set the second most expensive costume set. The first being the Crystallized Costume set, for the price of $300 USD.
- The Ghastly Halberd, an Apprentice Magic Staff of ghostly proportions, is a weapon fit for the Guardian of the Dead.
