In a few words, a pet with the highest "Damage Per Second" DPS score is a better pet.
Taking in consideration Attack Rate / Number of projectiles / Attack damage :
* A <span style="color:#00ff00"> Powerful </span> pet has a maximum of 1800 DPS.
* An <span style="color:#0000ff"> Epic </span> pet has a maximum of 2100 DPS.
* A <span style="color:#ff00ff"> Mythic </span> pet has a maximum of 2800 DPS.
* A <span style="color:#ff0f00"> Legendary </span> pet has a maximum of 3000 DPS.
