The Survivor Costumes are a set of costumes that are dark-colored and patched-up versions of the default costumes. Only The Apprentice, The Squire, The Huntress and The Monk have a Survivor costume. They were awarded to players who has leveled up their heroes to level 25 before Wipeageddon, a progression reset during early access in 2015.

These costume are currently no longer available.

Wipeageddon

To compensate for the loss of progress from the wipe when Loot and Survive update rolls out, TE introduced the Survivor costumes and an exclusive pet for players who have played before Wipeageddon and "survived" it. To obtain the exclusive items, players must complete the challenge of leveling up at least one hero to level 25 before 5 PM EDT, July 26th. 2015 for Steam (PC) and 11:59 PM EST, November 30th, 2015 for PS4.

Each hero class leveled up to 25 during the challenge period will be rewarded with a costume belonging to the leveled up hero class. Which means to get all four Survivor Costumes, all four hero class must be at level 25 before the challenge period ends.

Notes and Trivia

  • The main flavor text of the Survivor Huntress costume references a cutscene in DD1 where she sees the defenseless elven city of Embermount being annihilated by a volcanic eruption.
  • The flavor text of the Survivor's Monk accessory, Survivor's Kasa is a pun on the phrase - Mi casa, su casa - a common Spanish expression used in English meaning "make yourself at home". The original phrase - Mi casa es su casa - literally means "my house is your house".
  • In October 31st, 2018. TE posted an image showing the Survivor Squire wearing the Dread Knight Casque with Bonemancer Wings and also wielding the emerald cleaver sword, depicting in the manner that it references Friday the 13th to celebrate Halloween. However, it is not possible for the Survivor Squire to wear the Dread Knight Casque in-game if one wants to recreate the cosmetic loadout as that accessory belongs to the Squire's Standard Garb.
  • Like the Dragonfall Defenders Costumes, the Survivor costumes also uses other different accessories from the default costumes instead of just retextures. However, the Survivor Apprentice and Huntress has one aspect each that isn't from the default costumes. The Survivor Apprentice's scarf uses a retextured version from Academy Apprentice and the Survivor Huntress's arms uses a retextured version from Red Riding Huntress.
