Unlike the purely cosmetic costume, its counterpart in Terraria grants armor as well as two set bonus which focuses on a summoner build as to fit the flavor of Tower Defense.
  • This costume has unique animations for spawning, healing, death and the casting of Mana Bomb. Aside from those, this costume even has a unique tower skin set to go with.
  • The wallpaper depicts the Dark Arts Apprentice wielding the Staff of Ruin Icon.png Staff of Ruin, a mythical Magic Staff.
  • The Dark Arts Cleaver Icon'.png Dark Arts Cleaver's design is most likely based on this Apprentice costume. Of course due to the weapon being an axe, the Dark Arts Apprentice won't be able to wield it.
