Behavior

Cybork Attack Animations. (Note: Explosive Trap contains 100% Tenacity/Automation)

The Cyborks' behaviors are near identical to regular Orcs - having as much health, speed and dealing a moderate amount of damage. The unique aspect of a Cybork is that it carries a large hammer it uses to slam into the ground, sending out an EMP shockwave in the shape of a large orb that stuns Auras, Traps, and Nodes for 12 seconds.

  • Any nearby traps, auras or nodes can attract Cyborks to walk toward those defenses and stun them. Any Cybork attacks (like on a hero or any tower/blockades) also sends out EMP shockwaves.
  • The EMP shockwaves are ranged projectiles fired in a Cybork's frontal direction. The shockwaves travels quite a good distance so it's best to be wary of the placement of any nearby traps, auras or nodes if your hero is engaging any Cyborks in close combat. EMP Shockwaves can be reflected by Reflect Beam (before getting stunned).

Strategy

Newer players should use Towers and Blockades and avoid using Auras, Traps, and Nodes if Cyborks are present. Advanced players may choose to use a 100% Tenacity Servo or Automation (a Hyper Shard) to prevent their defenses from being disabled. Advanced players commonly put a 100% Tenacity Servo or Automation on a Reflect Beam to reflect the EMP shockwave projectile back, preventing their defenses from being disabled.

M.O.D.S. related with Cyborks

Cyborks takes increased damage from defenses equipped with M.O.D.S. such as Anti-Orc Servo, Anti-Chaos Servo and Anti-Melee Servo or weapons equipped with Orc Chip, Chaos Chip and Melee Chip.

Furthermore, there are also M.O.D.S. such as Orc-Boom/Chaos-Boom/Melee-Boom Servos and Orcsplosion/Chaosplosion/Meleesplosion Chips that have Cyborks detonate on death, damaging other enemies. However, while they might be a little useful early game, they are completely useless in late-game.

Appearances

Cyborks first appears in Chaos 2 for Expeditions, Incursions and Mastery. They will also appear in Chaos 5.

In Onslaught, Cyborks starts appearing from floor 5 onwards as part of schedules with "Cy" prefixes. Other schedules include:

  • Sparks and Shields
  • Mob Gallery

Boss Variant - Thorc the Terrible

Thorc The Terrible is a larger Cybork who deals more damage and has more health than regular Cyborks. He also disables defenses for 18 seconds rather than 12. He has a chance of appearing on wave 5 in Chaos 1 and can also appear on Omega Waves (wave 6) in The Lost Temple in Onslaught.
