This article lists upcoming feature and plans that Chromatic Games teases through their official social medias (like Discord or Twitch Streams etc.)

The content mentioned below have not been released yet, which means they are all subject to change at Chromatic Games' discretion.

Harvest Moon/Festival Event

Limited-time harvest-themed event coming in September or October featuring the Scarecrow Pet which will be available in three distinct variants:

Base Variant: Has a low drop rate, making it rare and exclusive. Only available during the event for a limited time, with a small percentage chance from any victory chests.
Recolor Variant: Can be purchased through event-exclusive eggs, allowing players who don't have time to grind it to choose a different look for their scarecrow
Dapper/Gilded Variant: Only available through the Black Market Dealer.

This event could potentially be redone every year, while also making it bigger.

Post-Seas of Dragonfall Content

The next major content update will feature a frosty themed expansion. No ETA has been mentioned currently.

Revealed

New hero - Frost Weaver.

A DPS Hero - Will probably have 8 abilities and no towers.

Wields Magic Staffs as a weapon.

New frosty themed costumes for EV2, Barbarian and Aquarion.

Potential Features

These are feature that could potentially be implemented but are not fully set in stone and are very much subjected to change or being scrapped.

Potential Pet UI modernization. ^[1]
Potential Massive game-wide balance pass and hero rework/overhauls (Huntress' and Apprentice's abilities for example) ^{[2] [3]}
Potential removal of the Drakenlord's bubble mechanic and appearance as a miniboss in Expeditions/early game. The Drakenlord's appearance within Drakenfrost Keep is slated to buffed into a proper boss. ^{[4] [5]}
Potential addition of the Wyvern's Den incursion map to Expeditions, without the Betsy boss. ^[6]

Potential Future Update Themes

Around mid-2023, CG put up a community poll^[7] to decide on an update theme that could happen after Seas of Dragonfall. The four candidates are:

Sky City
Crystalline Dimension
Carnival/Circus
Space

It is currently unknown which theme has won the poll.
