Notes and Trivia
- This costume is one of four costumes that became an actual armor set in Terraria through the crossover event of Dungeon Defenders II meets Terraria. Unlike the purely cosmetic costume, its counterpart in Terraria grants armor as well as two set bonus which focuses on a summoner build as to fit the flavor of Tower Defense.
- The Shinobi Infiltrator has a unique spawn and victory animation. The spawn animation was eventually reused (with a slight variation in VFXs) for another monk costume - Dark Shawl.
- Aside from those, the costume also sports a unique style for running - the Shinobi would be in a much more hunched posture while the free arm assumes a knifehand strike (or Tegatana) position.
- The wallpaper depicts the Shinobi Infiltrator wielding a very ornate polearm. Sadly, that polearm hasn't been implemented in-game even to this day.
- In an odd sense, the Shinobi Infiltrator's leg piece shares the same name as the costume. Whether this was intentional or an error is unknown.
Legacy
Dungeon Defenders 1
The Shinobi Infiltrator is DD2's successor to DD1's Ninja costume for the Monk.
A major difference between both Ninja is that while DD1's Ninja incarnation looks more like a traditional Japanese ninja, DD2's Shinobi is much more ornate with additional visual armors. Another difference would be while DD2's Shinobi is purely cosmetic, DD1's Ninja changes the Monk's attack style.
