Aside from being purchasable, the Guardian of the Storm is also obtainable through Defender Packs.

As an Elemental Variant costume, it can either be considered as part of a themed set or a stand-alone costume by itself.

Notes & Trivia

• Having all of the costume's accessories being a retextured version of those from the Standard Garb, the Guardian of the Storm has the second most accessories of Monk costumes, after the Standard Garb.

• The Guardian of the Storms is one the few costumes to have an extra effect when jumping where there would be a burst of cracked lightning crater left on the ground. Also, it's one of the few costume to have a flair-like effect too with a mild hurricane-ish wind swirling around the costume's lower parts.

• Only the first accessory of each piece section has a unique flavor text. The rest with a "stormbringer's" prefix uses the original accessories' flavor text from the default costume.

• The Glaive of the Storm, the power of an angry cloud in a polearm is a weapon most certainly fit for a screaming monk such as the Guardian of the Storm.

• With the cost of 4,800 gems, the Guardian of the Storm is the highest priced costume among all Monk costumes. Furthermore, with the other Elemental Guardian variant costumes for the combined price of 19,200 gems, which if bought at full price, it would cost around $154.94 USD, making the Elemental Guardian pseudo-set the second most expensive costume set. The first being the Crystallized Costume set, for the price of $300 USD, through backing DDA on Kickstarter.
