Health is the indicator of whether or not a character is alive or dead. It is a core battle mechanic of Dungeon Defenders II.

Health is will deplete as the indicator of whether or not a character is alive or deadtakes damage. Once your health reaches zero, your character will die and re-spawn after a set amount of time. Enemies likewise have a health bar that will deplete as you do damage to them.{{stub}} ===Hero Health Bar===The hero health bar indicates how much health your hero has. It is displayed in the top left corner with the an avatar of the hero you are currently playing[[User Interface|HUD]].{{stub}} ===Allied Health Bars===Allied Enemies, Defenses and Map Objectives also have health bars indicate how many health points your allies have. Their bars which deplete as they take damage, and can be found either viewed by hovering the crosshair over your allies with your curser or finding their avatar under yours in the top left cornerthem.{{stub}}
===Defense Health Bars===
Defense health Health bars indicate how many health points your defense has. Most defenses have health points like the hero does, and when depleted, it is destroyed. This includes blockades and towers. As Traps and Auras cannot be targetedby enemies, they use a charge system. When enemies activate a trap, a charge/lifespan will be consumed.
Maximum health/charge increase with the [[Defense Health]] stat. Exceptions are Nodes such as the [[Weapon Manufacturer]], which do not have health and will not degrade.
===Enemy Health Bars===
Enemy health bars are the indicator of whether your enemy is dead or alive. Once the health reaches zero the enemy will die.
 
You can see the enemies health bar by placing your mouse over said enemy.{{stub}}
