An Item is dropped at upgrade level 1 with a potential cap The amount of upgrade levels determined by the power level and rarity of the times an item. Items may can be upgraded in at the Tavern and gain Upgrade Station. Each time an upgrade item is leveled up, the player is given a point for each level upgraded.to add to one of the items stats
