The Drakenlord is a unique miniboss with a unique mechanic and is introduced as a boss on the last wave of the Drakenfrost Keep map. He can frequently be found in any gamemode outside of the campaign aswell.
He moves very slowly but will have a chance to swing his sword twice in succession every time he attacks and can call forth a large spherical shield of ice to protect him and chill, freeze, and damage anything inside.
==Description=Mechanics & Notes=The Drakenlord is a miniboss with an interesting mechanic. He can frequently be found in the Chaos Expeditionsfrost enemy, meaning he's immune to being Onslaught, frozen and takes double damage to fire. He moves very slowly but will swing
The Drakenlord takes 0.1% of normal damage while his sword twice every time he attacks shield is active around him. This aura slows players while within it's range aswell as freezing them if within the aura for 5 seconds and can call forth will be damaged for 200% of their maximum health from a shield spectral copy of himself dealing some kind of ice finishing blow to protect him and chill, then freeze, then damage anything insidethe frozen prey.
==Strategy==Drakenlord is a scary boss at first, he can raise his sword * Towers and plunge it into Blockades within the ground summoning an ice Drakenlord's shieldwill freeze and stop attacking after 5 seconds of being in his aura. They will also take 50% of their maximum health after freezing. This damage will only be applied once, once afterwards the Drakenlord will have to use his ice shield goes up he has very high resistance melee slash attacks to damage (it appears to be 99% resists) finish off Towers or Blockades. * Traps, Auras, and it can slow heroesNodes then are completely immune to the Drakenlord's freeze then in spot and, after a short time, call forth a spectral copy of himself to deal a finishing blowdamage effects from the shield. This final attack seems to always be a one shot no matter how much health you have* The Drakenlord will use his melee slash attacks while attacking anything other than the player. On top of that it can do the same to * defensesDamage Reduction but also bonuses apply to the damage 200% and 50% damage ticks, having over 50% in damage reduction will allow enemiesheroes which can be helpfulto survive the hit. * 100% Tenacity will bypass the slow, freeze, and damage effects of his shield.
If he does get his ice shield up before you kill him you can bring it down by setting him on fire. This can be done with the Oil plus Fire damage combo creating an ignite. Alternatively, you can use the Burning Strikes shard to do the same. A word of caution, if he is ignited before his shield goes up then you will have to wait until the ignite wears off before igniting him again to bring down the shield. He is a threat while this happens, so stuns can hold him still while you wait.
