Hero Barbarian

A corrupted tribal lord of lore and legend, the Blood Reaver fights on the front lines of battle.

The Blood Reaver is a legendary costume for The Barbarian. To become a Blood Reaver, you must pay a price of your sanity from the insatiable bloodlust this costume comes with.

Or you can pay 1,600 gems to the Seamstress or in the cosmetic interface instead. The gems are mostly the price. Maybe.

What this costume contains

The Blood Reaver contains a horrible curse 9 accessories - 3 changeable Head pieces and 2 changeable pieces each for Torso, Arms and Legs sections. All accessories are available to use as soon as the costume is purchased. A unique card art is also provided for your hero deck as well. The Blood Reaver has unique animations for spawning and victory. In addition to all that, the costume also passively gives off flair-like effects like red sparks (when either of the first two head pieces are equipped) and falling feathers (similar to Raven Lord's Molt waist flair).

Costume does not affect any actual weapon cosmetic.

Notes and Trivia

  • Internally and within game files, the Blood Reaver is referred to as "Crowzerker Barbarian".
  • The Blood Reaver has elements that seems to draw reference from Runescape's Blood Reavers (heck, even the name is the same) and Medivh from Warcraft. Of course, whether these designs are intended or coincidental is up to debate as nothing has been explicitly confirmed.
  • During Patch 2.3 the Barbarian and the Blood Reaver costume was "physically" featured within the Emporium. The costume appears to be wielding a Vorpal Shadow Axe Icon.png Vorpal Shadow Axe. Combined with a crow-like aesthetic the weapon has, it's safe to assume that would be the axe needed to complete the full costume look.
  • A custom map was specifically created to promote the Barbarian hero and the Blood Reaver costume. This very cool and awesome trailer featuring all that can be seen here.
