Details
Betsy: Mother of Wyverns Found in The Wyvern Den Map. She is previously teased in LifeRoot Forest and the end of Forest Crossroads.
She is the first major boss encounter introduced into the game in the patch Pets & Dragons.
Encounter
The encounter is five waves. During the first four Betsy cannot be attacked and supports the other enemies.
Other than these Abilities the waves play out the same as other maps of the same difficulty.
Early Wave Abilities
- Flaps Her Wings (causes enemies in lane to move faster.)
- Curses Land (creates an area of cursed land which debuffs defenses placed on it. Persistent though all waves.)
- Fire Breath (Breaths fire while flying over damages hero's and defenses if hit.)
- Call Wyverns (summons a number of Wyverns to aid her.)
- Curses Hero's (curses ticks down and explodes damaging any nearby defenses.)
Final Wave
Once the fifth wave begins Betsy will land. She will Block the two center lanes creating ramps to reach the area where she lands.
Note: on every difficulty but easy. After wave four ends a ten second countdown will begin to start wave five.
During this final wave enemies continue to spawn in the outer two lanes. Betsy will periodically take off fly around map then land again.
Occasionally while flying She will breath fire onto the middle main objective damaging it.
Final Wave Abilities
- Fire Breath (While Landed breaths Fire in a cone to either her right or left dealing massive damage.)
- Slam (Slams the ground hitting targets in melee range causing high damage and knockback.)
The Encounter continues like this until either a main objective is destroyed (either by her or other enemies) or she is defeated.
Once she is defeated the wave ends.
Rewards
Betsy is guaranteed to drop at least one item of legendary quality.
