The Galaxy Costumes are a set of costumes that are cosmic versions of a hero's default costume. Every current hero have a Galaxy costume.

Galaxy Costumes for the first four heroes (From The Apprentice to The Monk) cost 800 gems each (available from the Seamstress or in the cosmetic interface) or also available within Out of this World Bundle for 2,080 gems from the Emporium interface if one wants all four Galaxy costumes (for the first four heroes) at a better price.

While Galaxy Costumes for the rest (From The Abyss Lord to The Countess) can only be obtained through Defender Packs.

What does each costume contain

Each Galaxy costume contains 4 non-changeable accessories. (With the exception of Galaxy Countess, which contains 5 accessories due to the option of having no cape.) Each costume will provide a unique card art for your hero deck as well.

Costume does not affect any actual weapon cosmetic.

Notes and Trivia

  • The Galaxy theme were originally referred to as "Harbinger's Veil" as the idea for the galaxy texture were most likely taken from the cosmic-styled cape of The Harbinger's boss form.
  • Alongside the Shadow Costumes and the Dragonfall Carnival Costumes, The Galaxy Costumes for the original four heroes were part of the Dragonfall Carnival Event as you can have a chance to win them from the Bling Wheel in the Carnival if you have an Admission Pass or purchasing them through the Big Top Bundle which also includes the Shadow and Dragonfall Carnival Costumes.
  • After the Carnival Event was over, the (original four) Galaxy Costumes became available separately at the Seamstress for the price of 1,200 gems each. Later at some point, the price was eventually changed to 800 gems each.
  • An interesting thing to note would be the difference in tone of the flavor texts between the original four, Barbarian, Mercenary, Countess and the rest - The former four are quite simple and also having a little humor in them while the latter is more on adding some form of backstory to them.
  • All Galaxy Costumes will have tiny cosmic particles and smokes shimmering around them as additional VFXs.
  • The Cosmic Caster Canisters are meant to be used by the Galaxy EV2 Exowear in terms of cosmetics. It is the only Galaxy costume to have matching weapons.

Dungeon Defenders Awakened

A theme resembling the Galaxy/Harbinger's Veil was used for DDA in the form of Rifted Costumes. While both themes are similar, there are major differences -

  • One would be all of Galaxy's additional VFXs and cosmos textures are absent in the Rifted Costumes, leaving only purplish void (which is where the similarity ends). The other would be the Rifted texture doesn't cover the entire costume, just certain parts.
