Description
The Cannon Ogre is a Special Enemy. He is the ranged mini-boss variant of the Ogre, frequently found in the Chaos Expeditions, Onslaught and Incursions maps. This is by far the most dangerous miniboss in the game. He has very long range both melee and ranged attacks, great health and has the ability to one shot many Heroes, Defenses, and Cores. Notably, he seems to have a higher than normal resistance to stuns.
Strategy
There are a few strategies for confronting the Cannon Ogre
- Stay at a range that is outside his Cannon range and shoot him down with a ranged Hero
- Get right up in his face and melee him without giving any range to bring up his cannon since he deals much less melee damage
- If you have a Series EV2 you can place a Reflect Beam in front of a Blockade and it will make him a sitting target
No matter the strategy you pick make sure not to cross his firing path as it may very well be your last breath. As a miniboss he has a very high amount of health.
