Generally, it is recommended that you reach Chaos 9 (which skips you to floor 300) before resetting for the first time.

=== Talent Cap Increases ===
+
+
Talent Cap increases are done by adding together increases from your floor progression, and from your ascension:
+
+
* '''Floor Progression:''' (Onslaught Floor Reached - Original Target Onslaught Floor) * 4.16
+
+
* '''Ascension Increase:''' (Ascension Level / 50)
+
+
So if you were on Onslaught Floor 78, with a Original Target Onslaught Floor of 30 (it will always be this value), and 500 Ascension Levels, the calculation looks like this:
+
+
(78 - 30) * 4.16 + (500/50) = 48 * 4.16 + 10 = 210
+
+
This means your Talent Caps would be raised by 210.
+
+
These cap raises do not affect all talents, and the cap that the affected ones can reach is 999.
+
+
=== Minimum Ascension ===
+
+
'''Formula:'''
((Max Onslaught Floor Reached Ever - Original Target Onslaught Floor) x 4.16 + (Max Ascension Level Reached ever / 50) ) x 3

+
+
So if your highest Onslaught Floor reached was 100, with your Original Target Onslaught Floor (this value will always be 30), and 500 Ascension Levels, the calculation looks like this:
+
+
((100 - 30) * 4.16 + (500/50)) * 3 = (70* 4.16 + 10) * 3 = 903.6
+
+
So your Minimum Ascension with the above amounts would be set to 904. In game with this example, you will see how much is going to be added to your current Minimum Ascension on the Ancient Power screen (i.e. if you had 100 Minimum Ascension, you will see "+804"). This only increases if you've surpassed your previous highest Onslaught Floor.

Overview

Ancient Powers are obtained through the game's prestige system. In exchange for losing almost all progress in the game, you gain EXP and Gold bonuses, and Ancient Powers that apply to all players in your game session. It is intended for players who have exhausted all other methods of improving their characters.

Obtaining Ancient Power for the very first time requires the following conditions to be met:

Each time you reset, the Floor level requirement increases, but the Ascension level requirement does not. If you do not have a minimum Ascension level of at least 250, you may need to spend extra time farming experience before you can do another reset. The more minimum ascension you can get before your first reset, the easier it will be to solo your way back up to your next target floor. Generally, it is recommended that you reach Chaos 9 (which skips you to floor 300) before resetting for the first time.

Once you are ready to do a reset, speak to Mananode in Town.

After Resetting

All of the Ancient Power Emblems.

The following things will happen each time you do a reset:

 • You will gain 1 Ancient Power point to spend in any of the 14 Ancient Powers.
 • You may gain a new emblem for reaching a particular "prestige".
 • You will receive a random Prestigious weapon. Its unique mod will have a minimum quality of 5/10.
 • Your Gold and EXP bonuses will be incremented by 5%.
 • Ascension Talent Caps for Talents with an original cap of 200 will be increased.
 • All items in your shop will be returned to your inventory (or the Scavenger, if your inventory is full).
 • Your minimum Onslaught Floor will increase.
 • The Onslaught Floor required for the next reset may increase.
 • Your Ascension level will be set to your minimum Ascension level.
 • All of your Armor, Weapons, and Relics will be downgraded to Campaign level (includes all equipped items and items in your Vault).
 • All of your ungilded Shards and Hyper Shards will be downgraded to level 1 (includes all equipped shards and shards in your Vault).
 • You now have a chance to earn Prestigious weapons, Mananode Gifts, and Defender Packs from Onslaught Floors you have previously beaten again.

The following things are not downgraded or reset during a reset:

Furthermore, other items such as Materials or Consumables etc. will also not disappear after a reset.

Powers

Individual players can assign up to 5 points to each ancient power. Most of these powers attain their maximum effectiveness at 10 points, yet the Ancient Respawn for instance, reaches its peak with just 5 points.
When all players contribute their Ancient Powers, their effects are pooled together.
To fully maximize all ancient powers in solo play, it would take 70 ancient power resets. However, collaborating with others allows for surpassing the 5-point threshold in each power.

Talent Cap Increases

Talent Cap increases are done by adding together increases from your floor progression, and from your ascension:

 • Floor Progression: (Onslaught Floor Reached - Original Target Onslaught Floor) * 4.16
 • Ascension Increase: (Ascension Level / 50)

So if you were on Onslaught Floor 78, with a Original Target Onslaught Floor of 30 (it will always be this value), and 500 Ascension Levels, the calculation looks like this:

(78 - 30) * 4.16 + (500/50) = 48 * 4.16 + 10 = 210

This means your Talent Caps would be raised by 210.

These cap raises do not affect all talents, and the cap that the affected ones can reach is 999.

Minimum Ascension

Formula: ((Max Onslaught Floor Reached Ever - Original Target Onslaught Floor) x 4.16 + (Max Ascension Level Reached ever / 50) ) x 3

So if your highest Onslaught Floor reached was 100, with your Original Target Onslaught Floor (this value will always be 30), and 500 Ascension Levels, the calculation looks like this:

((100 - 30) * 4.16 + (500/50)) * 3 = (70* 4.16 + 10) * 3 = 903.6

So your Minimum Ascension with the above amounts would be set to 904. In game with this example, you will see how much is going to be added to your current Minimum Ascension on the Ancient Power screen (i.e. if you had 100 Minimum Ascension, you will see "+804"). This only increases if you've surpassed your previous highest Onslaught Floor.
