Passives are extra effects that appear on the higher rarity Items in the game. The Passive mechanic has since been removed from the game since the Trials Update, along with Skill Spheres, and replaced with Shards.
Passives give your Heroes unique effects while the Item is equipped. Each type of Item (Weapon, Helm, Body Armor, Gloves, Boots, Relic) has a specific list of Passives that can appear on them. Items can have a mix of global and Hero specific Passives, but an Item will only drop with Hero specific Passives from one of the Hero types.
- A Powerful (Green) Item will have 0 Passives.
- An Epic (Blue) Item will have 2 Passives.
- A Mythical (Purple) Item will have 2 Passives.
- A Legendary (Orange) Item will have 3 Passives.
1. Weakpoints being things like the back a Siege Rollers.
2. Minibosses being enemies that have healthbar at the top of the screen.3. Defense rate is capped and you can not go passed that cap.

|Arcane Resilience||Harbinger's Watch||Temple of the Necrotic Defense||Arcane Barrier reflects X% Defense Health as damage over 8s, and has a X% chance to fire meteors dealing X% Defense Health as damage.|
|Ravenhost||Blaster-Caster||Random map||Attacks add a Raven Stack. At 10 stacks, spends all stacks to fire a magical Raven dealing X% Hero Damage that bounces between 5 targets.|
|Dark Mage Slayer||Summoner's Grasp||Weapon reward after 15 round in Onslaught||Defeating a Dark Mage grants a charge. Fully-charged Secondary Attacks consume charges and summon skeletons to stun enemies for 5s.|
|Weakness Curse||Betsy's Wrath||The Wyvern Den||Curse an area on the ground that reduces the damage of enemies in that curse area by X%.|
Special Passives that can only roll on specific weapons:
|Call of the Phoenix||Phantom Phoenix||Wyvern Enthusiasts Incursion|| Increases Blaze Balloon Defense Crit Chance by 4%-8%% and increases Critical Damage by 4%-6% of your Defense Power.|
From the ashes - 3.5 seconds after Blaze Balloon detonates a phoenix emerges from the flames dealing an extra X%-450% of your Defense Power as damage.
|Viper's Bite||Toxic Shock||Chrome Enemies Incursion||Poison Dart Tower deals 5~20% more damage. When a poisoned enemy dies, it detonates dealing 50-80% of your Defense Power stat as damage to enemies in a 700-1500 radius.|
|Midas Touch||Bling-O-Midas||Kobold Bling King Incursion|| On Hit, enemies move at a ~41% reduced rate and burn for ~104% Hero Damage a second for 4~8s.
Golden Shower Charged Secondary attack fires a molten stream 60~90 degrees wide burning for ~49% Hero Damage twice per second.
|Pumpkinator||Bow-Blaster||Random map||Targets hit with basic attacks are pumpkined. Defeating a pumpkined enemy causes a physical explosion dealing 40~60% Hero Damage. Hitting a pumpkined enemy with a melee attack increase Hero Critical Chance by 5% for 5s.|
|Lady Orc Slayer||Mauled Cleaver||Weapon reward after 15 round in Onslaught||Defeating a Lady Orc grants a charge. Fully-charged Secondary Attacks consume a charge, unleashing a cleaver dealing 300% of your Hero Damage Stat as physical Damage.|
|Shard Shot||Harbinger's Fist||Ramparts Siege Defense||Concussive Shots fires a piercing shard dealing X% Ability Power as damage, then explodes dealing X% Ability Power unresisted damage.|
|Shard Spike||Harbinger's Fist||Siphon Site D Defense||50%? chance for Geyser Trap to fire an exploding shard dealing 600%? Defense Power as damage in an area.|
|MIRV||Aerial Bane||The Wyvern Den Defense||On hit, flying enemies now have a 30~63% chance to spawn grenades in a 500~1200 radius that deal 100~150% of your Hero Damage stat as damage.|
|Breaker||Armored Cleanser||Malthius Incursion||Reduces target's resistances by 5~20 on hit.|
|Drain Aura||Boost Aura damages enemies for X.|
|Tidal Wave Chip||Heroic Wave deals X damage to nearby enemies.|
|Stunning Wave Chip||Heroic Wave stuns enemies for X seconds.|
|Glaive of the Storms||StormRider||Ride a cloud that changes your attacks to lightning dealing X Ability Power as Storm Damage for 15s. Enemies under get drenched and are hit for X% of Ability Power as Storm Damage every 2s.|
|North Pole||Pole Launcher||Secondary Attacks fire additional North Poles that deal X% Hero Damage as Frost Damage, pierces 2 enemies and slows them by 40% for X seconds.|
|Sky Dragon's Fury||Sky Dragon's Fury||Secondary attacks spawn a lightning ball dealing x% Ability Power as Storm Damage 2.5 times a second for y seconds. Ocurs every 8 seconds.|

|Drakin Slayer||Jurassic Revenge (shield)||Weapon reward after 15 round in Onslaught||Defeating a Drakin grants a charge. Blocking with your shield consumes charges, unleashing fireballs dealing 150% of your Hero Heath Stat as magical fire damage each.|
|Slamming Block||Harbinger's Portal (shield)||Boss from Harbinger's Warship Defense||Shield blocks reduce the cooldown of Seismic Slam by Xs.|
